Zanu PF stages a SHUTUPZIM! march
THE ruling party of Zimbabwe ZANU PF, denounced the #shutdownzim campaign that was spearheaded by activist groups led by #Tajamuka/Sesijikile and #thisflag that brought Zimbabwe to a stand still on the 6th of July.
The ZANU PF youths in response to #Zimshutdown took to the streets so as to #shutup! people who challenge the administration of the government. The march saw the CBD crowded for at least 3 hours, and it has been dubbed a success. The march was only staged in the capital while other cities it was business as usual.
ZANU PF has been on record for organizing marches as noted with the one million man march that was organized to endorse the president. However, what has been noted with these marches is that most of the people are either bused or forced to attend the gathering.
This was revealed recently on eNCA’s Checpoint by one of the ZANU PF ex-combatants who said that people are bused into these rallies and events so as pretend as if the President support on the ground. They marched from the Harare provincial office to the party’s Headquarters.
The march was a response to the shutdown campaign and also as an endorsement for President Mugabe, not to step down on demands.
